Job summary
* Stocking Frozen Products: Ensure shelves and freezers are fully stocked with a variety of frozen goods, following company stocking procedures. * Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, track expiration dates, and rotate stock to minimize waste by following the FIFO (First In, First Out) method. * Product Inspection: Regularly inspect frozen products for signs of freezer burn, damage, or tampering, and remove unsellable or expired items from the shelves. * Customer Service: Assist customers with finding specific frozen products, answering questions about availability, product details, and providing recommendations. * Price Labeling: Ensure that all frozen products are correctly labeled with accurate pricing, descriptions, and promotional details. * Maintaining Cleanliness: Clean and organize freezers regularly, ensuring they are free from ice buildup, spills, or debris. Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines. * Receiving Deliveries: Assist with unloading frozen goods from delivery trucks, verifying product quantities and quality, and promptly storing them in freezers to maintain proper temperature. * Temperature Monitoring: Regularly check and document the temperature of freezers to ensure compliance with food safety standards, and report any equipment issues to management. * Restocking and Merchandising: Arrange frozen products in an organized, visually appealing manner that promotes sales, and set up special displays for seasonal or promotional items. * Assisting with Inventory Counts: Participate in periodic inventory counts and audits to ensure stock accuracy and report any discrepancies. * Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as grocery and produce, to coordinate product placements and ensure overall store efficiency. * Other duties as required.
