Job summary

We’re looking for enthusiastic, friendly team members to be the first point of contact at our Recreation Centre. As a part-time Recreation Experience Representative, you’ll welcome guests of all ages, answer questions, and help create a fun, positive experience for everyone who walks through our doors. You’ll also take pride in keeping our facility looking its best while making sure every visit feels memorable. RESPONSIBILITES: * Responding to inquiries and questions in accordance with the Accora Village customer service promise. * Completing tours, accurately recording participation/attendance of all activities, and completing weekly and daily task checklists as required. * Maintaining a professional appearance while always wearing the designated uniform while on duty. * Assisting in the maintenance and cleanliness of the facility and all its spaces and equipment, as outlined by the supervisor. Proactively supporting in providing a clean facility for customers. * Coordinating the set-up of equipment for sports programs. * Ensuring program equipment and facilities are safe for use and reporting known and potential hazards to the management for immediate action. * Initiating emergency response procedures, including first aid and incident reporting as required. * Receiving and responding to feedback from the customers and staff. * Interacting with and creating an inviting environment by welcoming program participants, facility members, and guests. * Enforcing rules and responding to customer questions and feedback in a timely manner, in person, via telephone and/or email. * Administering payments, program registrations, and contracts. * Must be available to work a variety of shifts including mornings, afternoon, evenings and weekends. * Attending team meetings, training sessions and planning sessions as required. * Openly performing other duties as requested, contributing to a strong team environment. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE * 1-2 years of previous customer service experience * Post-secondary education in Recreation, Fitness and Health or other related field of study would be considered an asset * Demonstrated interpersonal and diplomacy skills * Excellent verbal and written communications skills * Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively * Enthusiasm and passion for recreation & leisure with a focus on customer service * Demonstrated creative problem solving and ability to maintain a high level of leadership skills * Flexible and highly organized with superior conflict resolution skills * First Aid and CPR certification * Proven customer support experience * As a condition of employment- must provide a valid and clean Criminal Background Check. * Ability to use standard office software applications WORKING CONDITIONS: * Extended periods at a computer may be required at times. * The job description implies the performance of repetitive tasks. * Must be available to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, and weekends. * Competing demands may create stress. * Occasional lifting and carrying office supplies or equipment may be required. * Scheduling will be dependent on operational needs, and consistent shifts are not guaranteed. * Physical effort is medium, must possess the ability to lift a minimum of 40lbs.
