Position Details Position: Security Guard Location: Saint John’s, Newfoundland Employment Type: Part-Time Pay Rate: $19.00/hour Qualifications & Madatory Requirements Must have resided in Canada for the past five (5) years. Valid Security Guard License. Valid First Aid certification. Valid driver’s license. Customer Service certification (mandatory). Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is an asset. Experience with CCTV, access control, or alarm systems is an asset. High school diploma (or equivalent) or relevant work experience. Must successfully complete a five (5)-year background investigation. Must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Must be at least 18 years of age. Key Responsibilities Control access points and verify authorization for entry onto the site. Conduct regular security patrols to ensure the protection of the property. Monitor site activities and report any unusual or suspicious situations. Respond professionally to incidents, emergencies, and requests for assistance. Monitor security systems, including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems. Complete clear and accurate incident reports. Ensure compliance with site procedures, security policies, and client requirements. Requirements

Applicants must have lived in Canada for the past five years, hold a valid security guard license, First Aid certification, driver’s license, and Customer Service certification, and be legally authorized to work in Canada and at least 18 years old. A five-year background investigation, strong English communication skills, and a high school diploma or equivalent or relevant work experience are required; Microsoft Office and security-system experience are assets.
