We actively invest in our systems, technology, and workflows so that our clinical team can spend more time focused on patients and less time navigating unnecessary administrative work. We are looking for an RPN who enjoys family medicine, works well in a close-knit team, and is comfortable balancing independent nursing responsibilities with ongoing collaboration with physicians and staff. The Role This is a part-time, on-site Registered Practical Nurse position working approximately 2–2.5 days per week and supporting two family physicians. The nurse is an important part of our day-to-day clinical workflow and serves as the primary link between reception and our physicians for patient concerns requiring nursing assessment or clinical input. Responsibilities include: • Triaging common family medicine concerns within nursing scope and escalating appropriately to the physician • Providing telephone nursing advice and patient education • Preparing and rooming patients for physician visits • Obtaining blood pressure, weight, height, and other required measurements • Administering vaccines, injections, and medications within scope • Assisting physicians with minor office procedures when required • Cleaning and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment, including operating the autoclave, in accordance with infection prevention and control standards • Providing routine nursing services and follow-up care • Reviewing and communicating relevant clinical information to physicians • Maintaining clear and accurate documentation in TELUS PS Suite • Supporting preventative care and chronic disease management • Coordinating with reception and physicians to ensure patient concerns are handled efficiently and appropriately • Completing related clinical and administrative tasks as required What We’re Looking For The successful candidate will be someone who is warm with patients, clinically confident, organized, efficient, and comfortable taking initiative within their scope of practice. Required: • Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) as a Registered Practical Nurse • Current CPR/BLS certification • Strong interpersonal and patient communication skills • Sound clinical judgment and an understanding of when concerns require physician involvement • Strong documentation and organizational skills • Ability to prioritize and work effectively in a busy family medicine environment • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively as part of a small team • Commitment to patient confidentiality, infection prevention, and professional nursing standards Preferred: • Previous family medicine or primary care experience • Experience with TELUS PS Suite (PSS) • Experience with telephone triage and patient education • Familiarity with preventative care, immunizations, chronic disease management, and common primary care procedures Why Join Ardelt? Requirements
Candidates must be a Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario and hold a current CPR/BLS certification. Previous experience in family medicine and familiarity with TELUS PS Suite are preferred.
