We dedicate our lives to caring for yours” Position Description: RN - Lactation Consultant The Lactation Consultant – RN provides specialized assistance to the breastfeeding mothers and infants, provides lactation education to the staff and customers, and serves as a role model for the staff in working with breastfeeding families. The Lactation Consultant utilizes the nursing process and clinical standards, delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team, is responsible for professional accountability and development, and serves as a resource for the staff. Requirements
Requires an active Registered Nurse license, BLS and NRP certifications, and CLC or IBCLC certification. Requires an associate degree in nursing and three years of clinical specialty experience; Mother-Baby RN experience is strongly preferred.
