We are currently seeking an exceptional educator to join our learning community and we invite qualified candidates to apply for the following opportunity: Junior Kindergarten Assistant Temporary, Part-time position Hourly rate: $36.17 - $39.17, depending on experience Hours: 11:30 am - 3:30 pm Immediate start through August 2027 Position Overview GNS is seeking a dedicated and passionate Junior Kindergarten Assistant to join our Early Learning team. With a blended approach that incorporates Montessori and Reggio Emilia principles with the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the JK Assistant will play a key role in fostering curiosity, independence, and foundational skills in our JK3 programme. Beyond the academic day, this role also has the opportunity to support our Camp Program during school breaks - preferably in a full-time capacity - providing continuity of care and learning across our early childhood programs. Who We Are Our Junior Kindergarten Programme introduces and implements learning within the framework of the , offering an enriched, inquiry-based approach to early learning that is unique in Victoria. What You’ll Bring Candidates must have ECE or ECEA certification and knowledge of current educational trends in a Junior Kindergarten setting. Montessori and/or Reggio Emilia experience will be considered an asset. Experience and interest in weekly Nature School and knowledge of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme would be an asset. You will have a strong knowledge of inquiry-based learning approaches, possess a passion for innovation and creativity, and be highly reflective and committed to continuous professional growth and improvement.
