Assist School Teams with the identification and prioritization of Speech-Language needs within their school population through consultation with School Based Teamsidentifying, assessing and evaluating children with possible significant communicative impairments referred by School Based Teamsplanning, developing, providing or directing appropriate and effective intervention programs (individually, in the classroom or in small groups as appropriate)demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with School Based Teams, including parents, School District personnel and outside agencies and professionals regarding the student's needs in the classroom and other school and home environmentsdemonstrated ability to consult with teachers, parents, and other school personnel within the framework of Response to Intervention (RTI)proven interpersonal skills in order to develop excellent working relationships with school staff and parentsproven ability to develop and support home and school based programsdemonstrated ability to develop and present in-service to school district personnel and parentsdemonstrated ability to collaborate, with the Speech and Language team, a method of service delivery that includes: caseload selection and scheduling, record keeping, evaluating programs, developing instructional materials and scheduling and supervising speech-language assistantsdemonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills, including report writing for information and clarityexperience working in an educational setting and with students with Disabilities or Diverse Abilities preferred For Further Information Contact: Salvina Sharp, District Principal of Safe and Caring Schools or Jessica Adams-Loupret, District Principal of Inclusive Education– Student Services (604) 794-5553
