This role is responsible for creating memorable guest experiences through festive appearances, photo sessions, and promotional events throughout the holiday season. The ideal candidate embodies the spirit of Santa with warmth, enthusiasm, and a natural ability to engage guests of all ages. This position requires commuting from the “North Pole” to Big White and maintaining a consistent, high-quality Santa persona throughout all interactions. Position Requirements / Skills: * Strong interpersonal and communication skills * Ability to stay in character as Santa Claus for extended periods * Friendly, approachable, and guest-focused personality * Experience in performance, acting, or customer service is an asset * Comfortable working in a fast-paced, outdoor resort environment * Reliable transportation (North Pole to Big White commute required 😉) * Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Duties and Responsibilities: * Greet guests warmly and create a magical holiday experience * Participate in scheduled photo sessions with families and children * Support resort promotions, events, and special appearances * Host “Storytime with Santa” sessions, reading holiday-themed books and engaging children in an interactive and entertaining way * Maintain a consistent Santa Claus character and appearance at all times * Collaborate with event staff and photographers to ensure smooth operations * Engage with guests in a positive, inclusive, and professional manner * Uphold resort standards for safety, guest service, and holiday presentation Physical Demands: * Ability to sit for extended periods during photo sessions * Ability to stand and walk for periods throughout the resort * Comfortable working outdoors in winter conditions * Ability to carry light props or gifts as needed * Must be able to wear a full Santa costume, including beard and suit Location: Big White Ski Resort Pay Rate: $75 per hour The ideal candidate embodies the spirit of Santa with warmth, enthusiasm, and a natural ability to engage guests of all ages.
