Skills/Abilities/Qualifications Required High School Diploma or equivalent Food Handler Certificate Ability to follow written and verbal job instructions (to be tested) Ability to follow basic arithmetic calculations (to be tested if necessary) Ability to demonstrate correct lifting and carrying techniques of items weighing in range of 10-50 lbs (to be tested) Ability to work independently and as a member of a team Ability to meet Public Health standards, Food Premises – Health Protection and Promotion Act related to safe food handling Ability to meet physical demands (prolonged standing, frequent bending, twisting, reaching, pulling and pushing of retherming & support carts) Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to work all shifts Recent satisfactory performance and attendance records Demonstrate, promote and encourage Brightshores’ values – We Show Up for Each Other, We Are Trusted to Act, We Create Solutions Together, We Strive for Better, We Share Accountability Advocates and supports a culture of patient safety and demonstrates an understanding of how the department service and assigned responsibilities contribute to overall patient safety at Brightshores through patient safety knowledge, skills and attitudes Comply with all applicable health and safety policies, procedures and regulations, and actively contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment Preferred Experience working in an institutional food service environment
