Job details
Part-Time, 25 Hours/Week | Remote About CFBA The Canadian Farm Builders Association (CFBA) represents builders, engineers, suppliers, insurance companies, building officials and other professionals involved in Canada’s agricultural building industry. Established in 1980, CFBA is dedicated to promoting high-quality, structurally sound, sustainable and efficient farm buildings. The association works to advance industry standards through education and research, keep members informed about building codes and regulatory changes, and represent the interests of the agricultural building industry on legislation, safety and labour matters. While CFBA is currently Ontario-based, our vision is to expand our reach nationally, grow our membership and strengthen our voice across Canada’s agricultural building industry. We are committed to building a stronger, more connected association that delivers greater value to members, supports the growth and success of the industry, and helps shape the future of agricultural construction in Canada. The Role This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who wants to help shape where CFBA goes next. You'll report to the Board, lead our growth beyond Ontario, manage key partnerships, and guide a possible rebrand, while keeping operations, finances, communications and events running well. What You'll Do • Develop and lead a national membership growth strategy. • Lead development of partnerships. • Guide a possible rebrand. • Plan marketing, communications and sponsorship opportunities. • Support the Board and committees, and report on progress against clear goals. • Oversee finances, budgets and bookkeeping, working with our bookkeeper and accountant. • Lead our AGM, Annual Conference, Building Awards, Golf Tournament and educational events. • Supervise the Administrative Assistant. What We're Looking For • Experience in association, non-profit or organizational management. • A track record in business development, membership growth or partnerships. • Strong strategic planning, project management and communication skills. • Financial literacy and budgeting experience. QuickBooks is an asset. • Experience with a rebrand, website project or major marketing initiative is an asset. • Experience working with a Board or volunteer leadership is an asset. • Background in agriculture, construction or building, or work across multiple provinces, is an asset. • A self-starter who works independently and juggles multiple priorities. Details • 25 hours per week, remote, with occasional travel for events and meetings. • Remuneration based on experience • Reports to the CFBA Board of Directors. • Start date: January 2027. How To Apply Send your resume and a short note on why you're interested to cfba@cfba.ca by November 6th. Only applicants considered for an interview will be contacted.
