Home Government Human Resources Employment Opportunities Clerk of Court - Part-Time File Clerk Clerk of Court - Part-Time File Clerk Hourly Rate: $15.00 Position Description The Clerk of the Circuit Court for Carroll County offers the position of a part-time File Clerk in order to assist with basic filing, clerical, and other organizational duties in efforts to assist all citizens and members/officers of the Court. Required Qualifications General office experience utilizing computer operations, word processing, spreadsheet development, and database management skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Demonstrate excellent organization, detail, professionalism, and file data accuracy skills Have excellent customer service skills A minimum education of High School Diploma or GED is required Job Responsibilities Significant duties include, but are not limited to the following: Properly file criminal case documents in order to provide assistance to the Clerk and Deputy Clerks Assist the Clerk and Deputy Clerks on organizational efforts of the office among each respective area(s) Properly clean, transfer, and file archival documents in the Archives Room Assist with scanning and indexing of court documents Manage any new duties and responsibilities regarding the sealing of certain documents pursuant to recent changes to the Code of Virginia Must be able to successfully work individually and as part of a team This position reports directly to the Clerk of the Circuit Court, Mr. Gerald R.
