We are recruiting therapists to join our team of trauma-focused practitioners who volunteer to run the Centre. Our Associates are the heart of everything we do at the Centre and the members of our core team! Each Associate operates under the banner of CTSACT while running their own independent private practice. Associates work and see clients at the Centre, and support operations and programming, including our reduced fee program, fundraising and outreach, and trauma-focused training in the community. There is no fee-split, with all therapists retaining the fees they collect. All Associates are registered mental health professionals and may be Registered Psychotherapists, Registered Social Workers, Clinical Psychologists, Psychiatrists, or another registered mental health professional licensed to perform the controlled act of psychotherapy in Ontario. The Centre for Treatment of Sexual Abuse and Childhood Trauma is a community-based, incorporated, registered charity which provides specialized and accessible psychotherapy and counselling, offers professional training and education, and promotes public awareness in the areas of trauma and recovery. The Centre was established in 1991 to provide individual, family and couples therapy for those who have been sexually abused or otherwise traumatized or stressed by life experiences. Since then, the Centre has grown to become a major provider of trauma-centered services in the National Capital Region. An Associate position includes: Office rental space for 2.5 days per week at our office at 11 Rosemount Avenue Client referrals from the CTSACT, depending on demand and Associate’s skill set Access to weekly Peer Consultation Inclusion on the CTSACT website A dedicated and personalized CTSACT email address Opportunities to develop skills in group therapy, training, and consultation The opportunity to set your own fees, work your chosen hours, and build your private practice in a supportive environment An Associate’s responsibilities include: Volunteering 10-15 hours a month, assisting with the development and coordination of programs, procedures, and operations at CTSACT Attendance at monthly Steering Committee and Peer Consultation meetings Providing consistent and high-quality trauma therapy services to your population of choice Managing your own administrative duties in practice such as bookings, notes, fee collection, etc. Requirements include but are not limited to: Membership in good standing with a regulatory body that allows the applicant to practice the controlled act of psychotherapy in Ontario (ex. CRPO, OCSWSSW, CPO, CPSO, etc.) Professional liability insurance Experience in the treatment of interpersonal trauma and knowledge of best practices when working with survivors of trauma, including childhood sexual abuse and dissociation Supervision by a trauma-informed Clinical Supervisor We will be prioritizing applicants who align with any of the following: Ability to provide therapy in languages other than English Specializations or lived experience within marginalized groups (ex. 2SLGBTQIA+, BIPOC, person with disabilities, neurodivergent, immigrant, NIHB program and/or Indigenous, etc.) Ability to work with couples or families Ability to work with children under the age of 16 years old Experience in evidence-based therapeutic modalities not currently reflected in the skillset of Associates In your cover letter, please provide a summary of your experience with trauma-focused therapy, dissociation, and treatment of interpersonal trauma. The application process includes a group interview with the full team. Successful applicants will be offered a six-month candidacy period as a probationary trial period. Monthly rent of $610 is due on the first of the month. There are no other fees or deductions - Associates keep 100% of their client fees. All Associates are independent contractors and not employees of CTSACT.

Must be a registered mental health professional licensed to perform psychotherapy in Ontario with professional liability insurance. Requires experience in treating interpersonal trauma and dissociation, along with supervision by a trauma-informed clinical supervisor.
