𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲: Emergency Medicine Physician Advisor Healthcare Shares is seeking experienced emergency medicine physicians to serve as Emergency Medicine Physician Advisors. This role is ideal for physicians with firsthand experience in emergency care delivery, acute care operations, hospital systems, triage, patient flow, clinical decision-making, care coordination, digital health, medical devices, healthcare AI, or healthcare innovation. As an Emergency Medicine Physician Advisor, you will provide clinical and strategic insight to help Healthcare Shares evaluate, support, and grow healthcare startups within our venture capital fund, venture studio, and broader healthcare entrepreneurship ecosystem. This is a flexible, remote advisory opportunity for emergency medicine physicians who are passionate about improving healthcare through entrepreneurship, investing, and practical innovation. 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 • Provide clinical and strategic guidance on healthcare startups focused on emergency medicine, acute care, urgent care, care delivery, patient flow, triage, digital health, medical devices, healthcare AI, and related areas. • Support Healthcare Shares in evaluating healthcare startups, founders, business models, clinical relevance, workflow fit, scalability, and social impact potential. • Advise portfolio companies, venture studio projects, and healthcare entrepreneurs on emergency medicine workflows, clinician adoption, operational realities, patient safety considerations, and commercialization strategy when appropriate. • Offer relevant introductions, industry insight, and subject matter expertise across emergency medicine, hospital systems, healthcare technology, clinical operations, and startup ecosystems. • Participate in periodic advisory discussions and contribute practical recommendations based on your clinical experience and area of expertise. 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 • MD or DO with experience practicing emergency medicine. • Board certification or board eligibility in emergency medicine preferred. • Experience in clinical operations, hospital leadership, digital health, medical devices, healthcare AI, urgent care, acute care, telehealth, startups, investing, advisory work, or healthcare innovation preferred. • Strong understanding of emergency department workflows, patient flow, triage, care coordination, clinician needs, and real-world barriers to healthcare technology adoption. • Ability to commit approximately 2–4 hours per month to advisory board participation and strategic advisory activities. Advisors may also have opportunities to support Healthcare Shares venture studio companies and startup clients, including potential sweat equity opportunities when applicable. Requirements

Requires an MD or DO with experience in emergency medicine, preferably board certified or eligible. Candidates should have a strong understanding of ED workflows and the ability to commit 2-4 hours per month.
