POSITION TITLE: Sports Program Supervisor (part time) DEPARTMENT: Parks & Recreation REPORTS TO: Recreation Coordinator EXEMPT STATUS: FLSA Non-Exempt position; eligible for overtime compensation SALARY RANGE: $23.77 - $30.07 per hour DOE Under the supervision of the Recreation Coordinator, the Sports Program Supervisor oversees on-site operations for youth and adult sports leagues. The position directs assigned staff and volunteers, trains and supports officials, and maintains a safe, welcoming environment for participants. Work schedules vary by season and include evenings and weekends. Among other job responsibilities, this position will: (For a full list of responsibilities, see the Sports Program Supervisor Job Description) Serve as the on-site supervisor for assigned youth and adult sports programs, including basketball, baseball/softball, soccer, volleyball, and other programs as assigned. Assign daily duties and work areas, monitor staff coverage, and coordinate on-site activities with officials and volunteers. Train, supervise, and mentor assigned staff and volunteers; provide performance feedback and report staffing or performance concerns to the Recreation Coordinator. Verify registration and record attendance using rosters prepared by administrative staff; document same-day changes or discrepancies for follow-up. Answer immediate on-site questions from participants, coaches, and spectators and refer registration, payment, team-placement, or schedule-change matters to the Sports Admin Supervisor or Recreation Coordinator. Inspect activity areas and equipment before, during, and after use; identify hazards, recommend improvements, and take appropriate corrective action. Education, Skills & Experience Requirements Must be a minimum of 18 years of age High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of one year of experience managing a sports program required. Minimum of one year of experience officiating adult or competitive youth sports required. Current CPR, First Aid, blood-borne pathogens, and AED certifications (ability to obtain them before the program begins) required. Availability to work on-site during scheduled practices, games, tournaments, and other assigned program hours. This position is FLSA non-exempt and is eligible for overtime compensation. Requirements

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and have at least one year of experience managing a sports program and officiating adult or competitive youth sports. Current CPR, First Aid, blood-borne pathogens, and AED certifications are required, or must be obtained before the program begins; availability for scheduled on-site program hours is also required.
