Salary: $30.06 per hour, based on 35 hour work week as per the CUPE collective agreement as per the Storekeeper 2 classification. Job Profile Under the supervision of the Revenue Supervisor, the Coin Room Machine Operator receives and processes revenues received from Transit buses, parking meters and other City departments; sorts, checks, weighs and records transit bus tickets; and receives delivery of and shelves transit products. As The Coin Room Operator You Will Receives and processes revenues received from Transit buses Assists in preparing fare product for distribution Receives and processes revenues received from other City departments Receives delivery of and shelves products and supplies; and carries out miscellaneous duties related to the position May perform delivery/pickup services for the Transit Service centers on an ad hoc basis. Your Education And Qualifications Include High School diploma or GED. Previous cash handling or inventory experience Ability to make accurate calculations and accurately record figures Demonstrated acceptable safety, and job performance relative to the position Ability to approach work in an organized and methodical manner Ability to understand and follow verbal as well as written instructions Ability to work efficiently with minimum supervision Must know the principles of the Respectful Workplace Policy and have the demonstrated ability to apply these principles Conditions Of Employment The successful applicant must maintain legal eligibility to work in Canada. If the successful applicant possesses a work permit, it is their responsibility to ensure the permit remains valid. Hold and maintain class 5 MB Licence Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector check clearance satisfactory to the employer Physically able to carry out duties of the position (moderate heavy lifting is involved-30-40 pounds) Required to wear/utilize required safety equipment (hearing protection, smock, steel toed footwear) and provide own steel toed footwear.
