You are responsible for leading creative introductory arts programs for children, and assisting in the delivery of creative instruction in theatre, dance, music, visual, literary, and multi-media arts. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Enrollment in Grade 11 participating in one or more of the following arts disciplines: theatre, dance, music, visual, literary, and multi-media arts or related field. Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing and/or teaching in a related discipline. Previous experience working with children in an arts instructional setting. CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENCES Current Standard First Aid, CPR and/or AED certificatesAODA Customer Service/IASR TrainingHigh Five training coursesKNOWLEDGE Knowledge of interpretive techniques, of aesthetic and technical concepts, and of handling of program materials in discipline of instruction. Working knowledge of general registration and visitor procedures. Working knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation and of corporate/ departmental policies and procedures related to health and safety. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW Language Requirement:Various language requirements, locations may require English only, French only OR Bilingual competencies. Some positions require English oral, reading, and writing. Some positions required French oral, reading and writing. Requirements

Requires enrollment in Grade 11 or higher with a minimum of 2 years of experience practicing or teaching in an arts discipline. Must possess Standard First Aid, CPR/AED certifications, and be able to pass a Vulnerable Sector Police Record Check.
