QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Grade 12 minimum· Recent Safe Food Handlers certificate issued by Public Health Background: Minimum of three years’ experience preferred Personal Requirements: Work as part of a team Capable of adapting to different situations and change· Keen interest in working with seniors FUNCTIONS: Helps cook and servers collect and strip trays and tables for washing, clean and reset tables for next sitting; Loads, operates and empties dishwasher. Puts dishes away; Damp mops floors; Cleans other kitchen equipment such as blenders, refrigerators, dishwashers, etc.; Maintains general cleanliness of the dry goods storage area, walk-in fridge and freezer, receiving area by correct sweeping and mopping of floors, washing of walls and racks; Performs all duties in a clean and sanitary manner; Ensures that adequate standards of cleanliness and sanitation are maintained in food storage, and food service; Ensures availability and maintenance of dietary supplies and equipment and submits requisitions as necessary.
