Canadian Surgery Solutions (CSS) a division of Clearpoint Health Network is hiring casual physiotherapists. Wage : $55/hr Position : Casual Position Summary: The physiotherapist will provide direct patient care for the assessment, planning, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of patient needs. The physiotherapist will act in accordance to CPTA standards and scope of practice. Duties will include daily treatment for extended stay orthopaedic patients and team assessments with physicians/surgeons. The physiotherapist must be able to work as part of an interdisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities: * Provide appropriate assessments and subsequent treatment for extended stay patients. * Work with patient to identify the need for (and organizing the provision of) aids such as crutches/walkers, raised toilet seats etc. * Provide exercise sessions for patients and ensure their appropriateness for discharge * Assess educational needs of patient, family and staff by acting as a clinical resource person. * Responsible for own personal growth and ongoing education related to providing appropriate and current patient care. Professional: * Identifies own strengths and limitations related to physiotherapy performance and sets goals and objectives to improve performance (with supervisors). * Participates as a team member in staff meetings, committees, etc. Qualifications: Formal Education: * Graduate of a recognized physiotherapy program (BScPT). * Current registration to practice physiotherapy in Alberta (CPTA). Experience: * Experience as a physiotherapist in an orthopaedic setting or willingness to learn Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: * Ability to function as a member of an interdisciplinary team * Will work with other physiotherapists and independently * Effective interpersonal skills * Possesses flexibility, reliability, initiative, and sound judgement.
