Role Description This part-time Hairdresser role is an on-site position located in Montreal, QC, specifically Nun’s Island. We are looking for someone who preferrably has experience and is capable of communicating in French with English being a bonus. The Hairdresser will provide hair cutting, styling, and basic hair care services like coloration and streaks/balayage in a family environment, supporting colleagues and ensuring a professional, safe, and hygienic workspace. Day-to-day tasks include consulting with clients on desired looks, performing haircuts and styles, offering guidance on hair care routines, and maintaining tools and equipment according to health and safety standards. The role also involves delivering courteous customer service, scheduling or managing appointments as required, and collaborating with staff to upkeeping a clean and functional salon. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Hair Cutting and Hair Styling skills for a variety of hair types and lengths. Candidates should possess knowledge of Hair Care practices, including product use, hygiene, and scalp health. Candidates should possess foundational Cosmetology skills relevant to hair services in an educational or training setting. Candidates should possess excellent Customer Service skills, with a focus on communication, professionalism, and respect. Completion of a recognized hairdressing program and relevant certification or license, as required in Quebec. Experience working in a salon, school, or training environment is an asset. Basic organizational skills to manage appointments, maintain equipment, and keep records as needed. A smile, respect, and pleasant greeting skills that care for client’s needs.
