Security Guard - RCMP Call Centre (Casual)

Commissionaires BC is currently looking for casual on-call security guards for an RCMP Call Centre/document centre site in Kelowna. Position hours: Casual - flexible availability preferred Wage: $22.97 per hour Please be aware that this role requires an RCMP Reliability Clearance, which can take up to six months to obtain. We ask that only candidates who are prepared to remain engaged throughout the clearance process and associated waiting period submit an application. Some of your responsibilities include: Static front desk security control/access control Escorting site visitors Perform regular exterior and interior building patrols General administration duties Report all incidences to the Site Supervisor and provide investigation report. Your Must-Haves: A valid BC Security License A valid Basic First Aid (OFA 1) certificate Have resided in Canada for 5+ years and be a resident or PR for clearance purposes Willing to go through RCMP clearance process Intermediate to advanced computer skills Fluent English written, verbal and reading skills Excellent customer service skills Your Nice to Haves: Prior security experience in a similar environment What’s in it for you? The security guard is responsible for static front desk access control, escorting visitors, and performing regular building patrols. They must also handle general administrative duties and report all incidents to the Site Supervisor.

Candidates must hold a valid BC Security License and a Basic First Aid certificate. Applicants must also be willing to undergo an RCMP Reliability Clearance process and have resided in Canada for at least five years.
