Job summary

Commissionaires BC is currently looking for a security professional to work weekends at the Xenon office site in Burnaby. Schedule: Saturday and Sunday 8am - 4pm Wage: $21.50/hour Some of your responsibilities include: Provide superior customer service to our client and site users Perform regular exterior and interior patrols, including mechanical rooms and labs Equipment alarm response and monitoring Provide access control as per site regulations, including issuing of access cards CCTV monitoring Investigate security incidents, escalating as necessary Maintains a safe environment for all personnel and the public Act as a line of emergency response and provide first aid to all site users in a prompt, easily accessible and appropriate manner Report all incidences to the Site Supervisor and provide investigation report Your Must-Haves: BC Security License Hold Basic First Aid (OFA 1) Fluent English written, verbal and reading skills Your Nice-To-Haves: You have resided in Canada for the last five years (for clearance purposes) Class 5 drivers license What’s in it for you? What you’ll do

The security guard is responsible for performing regular interior and exterior patrols, monitoring CCTV, and managing site access. They must also respond to security incidents, provide first aid, and maintain detailed investigation reports.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a valid BC Security License and Basic First Aid (OFA 1) certification. Fluency in English and the ability to work weekends are mandatory requirements.
