Job details
Responsibilities Keeps HR (Human Resources) data, payroll inputs, and files accurate and audit-ready Maintain and manage the HR payroll tracker for about 60 employees, ensuring all employee lifecycle changes (hires, leaves, terminations, retirements) are accurately captured Ensure alignment between HR actions, Dayforce entries, and payroll outputs Identify and resolve discrepancies in employee data and pay-related transactions Direct hands-on experience in Dayforce making changes to system, auditing changes, and pulling reports. (Dayforce proficiency is required, other HRIS experience is an asset) Proficient in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Data validation and Conditional formatting). Maintain: employee files, documentation, audit trails, and grievance files. Respond to employee inquiries related to HR processes and policies Support recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes Can accurately create templated communications such Offer Letters and Employment Verification Letters. Support the administration of short-term disability (STD) and long-term disability (LTD) cases Escalates complex ER matters Assists with Scheduling and Recruitment Qualifications 3–5 years of HR experience (unionized environment preferred) Strong experience with Dayforce (hands-on required) Advanced Excel skills (tracking, reconciliation, data accuracy) Strong attention to detail with high accuracy in documentation, and recordkeeping Understanding of HR processes in a unionized environment A brief (30 minute) practical Excel and Dayforce assessment will be conducted as part of the selection process Position details: Contract (up to 6 months) possibility of extension Able to start by Sep 28, 2026 2 professional references (with at least one from a previous supervisor) Hybrid (minimum 2 days in office) in Toronto 5 days / week (35 hours) $34 / hour Please attach a single PDF file including resume and cover letter by Sep 14, 2026
