Responsibilities will include: Systematically analyzing job tasks and work environments to plan appropriate training. supervision and support services for clients. * Providing on-site training to teach clients job skills and employer expectations. while integrating naturally into the work site environment. * Providing advocacy and support services to address clients' individual service needs. * Providing regular contact to support networks including family/caregivers. family service worker. residential care providers and employers. * Completing updates and reports to Supervisors regarding progress and/or needs of the clients. * Conducting job/task analyses to determine basic elements of the job to be learned and performed by client; training clients to perform job tasks. * Identifying and implementing adaptations to job duties or work environment to accommodate needs and abilities of the client. * Educating work peers and work supervisors about the support needs of the client, at their work placement.. * Securing feedback from employer regarding the performance of the client(s). * Serving as a role model for clients. * Providing transportation training to client(s). * Providing advocacy services to assure the rights of the client(s) are protected. * Teaching client(s) self management skills to ensure independence at the worksites. * QUALIFICATIONS * Experience working with persons with intellectual disabilities and/or relevant post-secondary education. * Valid drivers license and use of personal vehicle would be an asset. * Clear Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse & Adult Abuse Registries required. * Submit resume with cover letter to both: * Cathy Zlotoff - Program Manager ; [email protected] * Christina De La Mothe Coordinator ; [email protected] Pay: $21.00 per hour Work Location: In person
