You are ready to learn from a team that has decades of collective food service experience. WHAT'S THE CATCH? Well, for starters, it will be hard work. We serve over a thousand students, faculty, and visitors a day! Ollie's is a fast-paced environment, and we expect you to face this challenge with enthusiasm and vigor. It can be hot, it can be loud, it can be stressful, it can be messy, and we won’t promise that it is always fun – it’s almost always fun! AN APPLICANT *SHALL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING * Membership in the Carleton University Students’ Association (ie. must be a Carleton undergraduate student). * An awareness and sensitivity to issues including, but not limited to trans/bi/homophobia, sexism, racism, and ageism. * Availability for mandatory staff training sessions on multiple weekends at the end of August and into September. AN APPLICANT *MIGHT POSSESS THE FOLLOWING * A Smart Serve certificate. All FOH staff must undergo Carleton's mandatory Alcohol Training in September, and you'll receive a token for your Smart Serve certification upon concluding the training. * Previous experience in either FOH or BOH positions will be considered an asset.
