About the Role: Discovery Community College is excited to invite applications for a Dental Reception Instructor to lead and inspire students in our Dental Reception Theory program. This part-time instructional role begins on September 1, 2026. Schedule & Hours: Tuesday to Friday (9:00am to 2:30pm) plus 2 hours of office hours each week Rate Range: $31 to $33 CAD per hour Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging lessons in Business Communication, Dental Terminology, Client Records, and Dental Office Procedures. Facilitate student learning in a supportive and structured classroom environment. Prepare and implement lesson plans, classroom activities, and student assessments aligned with course objectives. Track and evaluate student performance and attendance in accordance with college policies. Foster a professional, respectful, and inclusive learning environment. Qualifications: Two or more years of experience in a dental office setting with a focus on reception, client coordination, or dental administration — required. Strong understanding of dental terminology, scheduling, records management, and office procedures. Experience mentoring, training, or instructing adult learners — preferred. Instructor Diploma or willingness to complete the Provincial Instructor Diploma Program (PIDP) with college support. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
