Title: Community Health Nurse - Ulkatcho Nursing Station (Fly-in/fly out) Salary: $94,724- $114,261per year (pay range explained below) Contract: Temporary Term- Part Time (until June 2027) Hours: Mon-Fri(8:30am -5:00pm with extended lunch) (2/3/4 week rotations) Location: Ulkatcho (Anahim Lake) Nursing Station) Bargaining Unit: PIPSC BCFNHA Group (Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada) What We Offer Recruitment Allowance: Up to $16,500 Retention Allowance: Up to $16,500 Education Allowance: Up to $3,850 Health Spending Account: $1,100 Weather-Protective Clothing Allowance: Reimbursement up to $1,200 Remote Certified Practice Allowance Up to $6,000 Extensive Health and Dental Benefits: Offered day 1 of employment Robust Pension Plan About The Role As a Community Health Nurse, you will deliver a comprehensive range of core nursing functions and services within remote First Nations communities. Your role spans program areas including community and public health, primary care, and urgent/emergent care. Responsibilities include promoting health and preventing disease and injury among individuals, families, groups, communities, and populations. Please Note Accommodation is available Flexible rotation schedule (2-week, 3-week or 4-week rotation schedule is available) About You To be successful in this role you will have / be: Education Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a recognized university or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Occupational Certification And Requirements Remote Community Health Nurse must be remote certified (RNC) with BCCNM. Obtain and maintain Basic Life Support Certification Level C; Completion of a recognized specialty nursing program is an asset Requires a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License Experience Minimum one (1) year of recent point-of-care nursing experience in a related or relevant field Include specific area of experience required for the role Please refer to Job Specification section of the Job Description for more details. You may have experience in; Community Health Nurse, Remote Nursing (remote communities) BC Remote Certification FNHA Community Health Nurse, have or are working towards Remote Certification (RNC) and can live anywhere in Canada.
