Job Title: Tactical Security Guard Job Location: Newmarket, Ontario Salary: $18.00 per hour Type: Full Time and Part Time Shifts: Position 1: Monday-Friday 0700-1600 hours. Position 2: Saturday & Sunday 0700-1600 hours, Monday to Wednesday 1600-0400 hours. Tactical Security Guard Flex Point Security is seeking full-time Tactical Security Guards in York Region, Newmarket, Ontario. We are hiring for two positions at this location. A company vehicle is required for this position. Skills and Requirements: * Valid Ontario Security Guard License * G-Level Driver’s License * Clean drivers abstract * Strong written and oral communication skills * Proven, excellent observational and reporting skills * Strong situational awareness * Ability to de-escalate * Willing to be on-call and respond to emergencies * Reliable (previous attendance records will be analyzed upon application) * 1+ years of security experience * Minimum 6 months tactical experience in a similar environment (shelter, respite centre, drop-by, mobile patrols) * Post-secondary education in Police Foundations, Security and Investigations, Criminology, Community and Justice Services, or Law is considered an asset Responsibilities: * Conduct patrols of assigned area * Assist staff with site issues such as trespassers and emergency response * Deter and report any suspicious activity * Conduct surveillance and take detailed notes of activity * Stay in constant communication with dispatch and operations supervisor * Submit daily reports to the Operations team using FPS' reporting system * Conduct a vehicle inspection and submit a vehicle report each shift * Clean the car each shift * Report and escalate any issues at patrolled sites to FPS Management and emergency services as necessary

Requirements

Requires a valid Ontario Security Guard License, G-Level Driver's License with a clean abstract, and at least one year of security experience. Minimum six months of tactical experience in similar environments is required.
