The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care by assessing, planning, and evaluating nursing interventions in an acute medical unit. They collaborate with the interprofessional team to coordinate care, perform diagnostic tests, and educate patients and families on health maintenance. Candidates must have graduated from an approved School of Nursing and hold current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the BCCNM. The role requires the ability to perform patient assessments, operate medical equipment, and work effectively within a collaborative care team.
