The Good Spirit School Division Invites applications for Temporary Part-Time Library Technician Canora Composite School Library Technicians support and assist in the development, organization and maintenance of the school library. Library Technicians are valuable members of a team which collaborate to promote student learning, well-being and success. Location: Canora, Saskatchewan Start Date August 24, 2026 to June 29, 2027 Salary Details In Accordance with the CUPE 4784 Collective Agreement Contact Details Derek Serdachny, Principal 306-563-5492 Assignment And Term This position is a temporary part-time position of 6.5 hours alternating days in accordance with the Library Technician school calendar. The position commences on August 24, 2026 and expires June 29, 2027. The work schedule will be scheduled by the Principal or designate. Rest periods will be scheduled in accordance with the current collective bargaining agreement. The duties of a Library Technician are to: Provide library services to students and staff. Operate and maintain the computer-base library system to circulate library materials, generate reports and complete inventory checks. Catalogue all library resources Organize, maintain and update all materials in the library collection. Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or designate and those listed in Job Description Library Technician The successful candidate will have the desired qualifications: Minimum Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent. Acute attention to detail, adaptability, flexibility and the ability to work as a team member will be considered assets. Salary and Benefits: The successful candidate will be paid on a monthly basis at an hourly rate from $21.53- $26.52 plus applicable vacation pay. Benefits include participation in the Saskatchewan School Board Association (SSBA) Employee Benefits Plan if eligible, the Municipal Employees' Pension Plan (MEPP) and opportunities to attend professional development seminars. Applicants not currently working for GSSD will be required to submit a recent (within the last six months) criminal record and vulnerable sector check acceptable to the Board of Education prior to offer of employment.
