Job summary

Administrative Assistant need for a music lessons school. MUST have experience in playing at least one musical instrument We are a music lessons school that also sells and rents instruments, and we're hiring a detail orientated Administrative Assistant for a long-term role. Our front desk is the heartbeat of the business — you'll be the first voice and face our families experience. This is a long-term position with real opportunities to grow. We're looking for someone ready to invest in learning our business deeply — and willing to stay long-term. What you'll do: Respond to 30–50+ inquiry emails, texts, and follow-ups per shift (touch typing required) Track every prospect from first inquiry through to enrollment Build and maintain weekly instructor attendance sheets Track student class cancellations and make-up lessons Track instructor class cancellations and make-ups so instructors are paid correctly Process instrument sales and rental paperwork Attend to walk-ins Follow our Standard Operating Procedures exactly as written Required qualifications:: MUST have experience in playing at least one instrument Touch typist using all ten fingers, 50+ WPM with high accuracy (we will test this in the interview) Detail-obsessed Calm under pressure when the phone, a walk-in parent, and an incoming text all hit at once Friendly and genuinely energized by being around people Excellent attendance record Comfortable with software, spreadsheets, and learning new platforms Looking for a long-term home Bonus Qualifications: Canva, Photoshop, or similar design experience Familiarity with musical instruments (additional training is provided) Background in customer service, retail, or front-desk roles Schedule: Part time to start, 2-3 days per week FT starting August 18th. Tuesday - Friday 1pm-9pm and Saturday 9am-5:30pm This is a regular ongoing schedule — please only apply if these hours fit your schedule.
