The Hampton Inn & Suites - Kelowna Airport is currently looking to fill the role of Part-Time Guest Service Agent. We are also on a bus route, with a stop just outside of the hotel, and our complimentary shuttle also picks up our employees from the bus loop at UBCO! What will you be doing? Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Make reservations and assign appropriate guestrooms based on preferences and requests Complete pre-arrival planning, including room assignments for special requests Process all guest check-ins, check-outs, room assignments, and room change/late check-out requests Secure payment: cash guests' checks, process all payment types including: vouchers, paid-outs, charges, and provide change Answer phone calls, direct inquiries, and respond to guest feedback or requests. Enter rewards information and enroll new members, reach monthly enrollment targets Coordinate with Housekeeping to track room status and guest concerns Anticipate and address guests' service needs Supply guests with directions and information, arrange transportation if needed Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information Answer, record, and process all guest calls, requests, questions, or concerns; follow up to ensure each has been met to guests' satisfaction Demonstrate knowledge of hotel room categories, room rates, packages, promotions and other general product knowledge as necessary to perform daily duties Operate Hilton PMS system PEP Demonstrate knowledge of hotel room categories, room rates, packages, and promotions Must be able to stand for extended periods Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle guest concerns independently and effective Ability to quickly respond to changing work volumes with a high level of energy and efficiency Follow company policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Develop and maintain positive working relationships; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately Handle cash drawer (balance at end of shift), run daily shift reports, and file documents Available to work varying shifts including weekends & holidays Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors and Managers What are we looking for?
