Position #: 195134 Expected Start Date: To Be Determined; Posted Until Filled Union: HSAS Facility: Kyle Health Centre City/Town: Kyle Department: Ambulance - Land Type: Part-time regular FTE: 0.75 Shift Information: Days, Nights, Evenings, Weekends, Standby Hours of Work: 112 hours per 4 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Emergency Medical Technician $29.909 to $36.572 Travel Required: No Job Description: Reporting to the Manager or designate for the area of province they are working, the Emergency Medical Services - EMT/PCP responds to emergency and non-emergency events, and provides assessment, treatment and transportation of the ill or injured persons consistent with The Saskatchewan Ambulance Act and Regulations; Saskatchewan College of Paramedics (SCoP) Clinical Practice Protocols; The Paramedics Act and bylaws; and Saskatchewan health Authority (SHA) policies, procedures and work standards. Human Resources Exemption: No Education * Primary Care Paramedic diploma (PCP) Licenses * Valid Class 4 driver's license Other Education and Training * International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS) * Current CPR certification * Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS) Competencies * Written Communication Skills * Basic - Interpersonal skills * Verbal communication skills * Listening skills Knowledge and Abilities * Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office programs (Word/Excel/Outlook) * Able to safely and consistently lift/load stretcher on a regular basis * Conflict resolution skills to effectively handle difficult issues * Ability to function effectively in high stress and in emergency situations * Ability to be resilient * Decision making through the application of knowledge and critical thinking * Ability to operate emergency vehicles safely and effectively * Physically able to perform the duties of pre-hospital emergency care * Familiar with the SK Ministry of Health Ambulance Information System. * Knowledge of EMS Practitioners legislation/protocols/scope of practice * Ability to exhibit situational awareness * Ability to work independently and as a member of a team * Demonstrates the ability to be resourceful and to adapt to changing conditions Other Information * Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at PCP/EMT level * Scheduled hours of work may be reduced during the rotation stipulated when a statutory holiday is recognized during that period. Requirements

Candidates must hold a Primary Care Paramedic diploma and a valid Class 4 driver's license. Additional requirements include ITLS, CPR, and BCLS certifications, along with the ability to perform physically demanding tasks like lifting stretchers.
