Part-Time Support Worker 3 (Job #: 43- 310726) Compensation: $28.67/ hour plus vacation pay; 2.5% in lieu of benefits Location: London, ON Site: Rockland Schedule: 16-32 hrs/week; varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays Apply by: Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Please be advised: A Class G (full) Driver’s License is mandatory for this position. Summary of Roles & Responsibilities: * Working with children and youth in an out-of-home emergency/urgency stabilization setting overnight. * Collaborate with teams to implement care plans that support participants' involvement in person-centred programs that promote educational, behavioural, developmental, psychological, and emotional growth * Creating and providing a safe, secure, and supportive environment for participants by developing and maintaining therapeutic relationships that attend to the diverse needs of youth * Navigating conflict, overcoming obstacles, and being creative in providing support to participants while remaining calm and focused in crisis situations by utilizing effective de-escalation and decision-making skills * Work successfully with diverse groups and demonstrate commitment to principles of equity, diversity, inclusion, and justice Qualifications: * Completion of a post-secondary diploma in Child & Youth Worker (CYC) or Social Service Worker (SSW) - or an equivalent Human Services program. * Please Note: Personal Support Worker (PSW) and Developmental Services Worker (DSW) certifications do not meet the educational requirements for this position. * Minimum two (2) years of related experience providing behaviour intervention support; knowledge of concurrent disorders and/or dual diagnoses and strategies for support * Reliable with a demonstrated commitment to being a dependable member of a team * Understanding of support requirements specific to the roles and responsibilities of the job * Proficiency in both verbal and written communication * Strong leadership, mentorship, advocacy, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills, in addition to attention to detail * Ability to work collaboratively with the team, and independently as necessary * Capacity to establish, implement, and maintain professional and personal boundaries * Multilingualism and having diverse lived experiences are considered assets Requirements: * Valid Class G (full) Driver’s License with a 3-year Uncertified Driver Record * Satisfactory current (within the last 6 months) Vulnerable Sector Check * Physical Health assessment: verification of up-to-date immunisations, negative TB Skin test (within the last 6 months), COVID vaccination status (2 doses), and ability to meet the physical and psychological requirements of the position * Current Standard First Aid & CPR, Level C with AED training preferred Humana Community Services is an equal-opportunity employer committed to an inclusive, barrier-free recruitment and selection process.
