Job summary

The Jewish Community Centre of Greater Vancouver is currently recruiting enthusiastic Swim Instructors and Lifeguards to join our professional Aquatics team! Duties & Responsibilities * Responsible for the safety and instruction of Members and Guests using the pool at the JCC * First responder in case of an emergency and providing First Aid as needed throughout the facility * Passion for teaching swimming lessons and working with children and adults * Perform maintenance and related work, as required * Flexible schedule. Regular part-time hours are available. Most shifts will include a mix of instruction and lifeguarding duties. Minimum Qualifications: * Lifesaving Swim Instructor * National Lifeguard (NL Pool Option) * Standard First Aid (within 2 years) * CPR C / AED (within 1 year) * Legally eligible to work in Canada * Over the age of 16 Preferred Qualifications: * Previous experience as a lifeguard, instructor or coach * Previous experience working with children & youth * Previous experience as a First Aid Attendant * LSI, Aquafit and/or other relevant certifications We are searching for well rounded candidates who display strong skills in the areas of teamwork, communication, maturity, dependability, enthusiasm, and a passion for swimming Interested candidates should Review our website [https://www.jccgv.com/aquatics/] Lifeguard rate $22/hour; Instructor rate $24/hour The successful candidate must clear a vulnerable sector criminal record check as a condition of employment.
