Duties As a member of the department of Dentistry, the responsibilities of the Preventative Dental Assistant include: preparation of work area for dentist and patient flow ensuring room, equipment and supply cleanliness under the orders, supervision and guidance of the supervising dentist, performing simple dental procedures within scope of practice performing reception responsibilities and confirming patient booking information; monitoring in-room inventory for operatories performing cross-functional and/or other duties consistent with the job classification, as assigned or requested working in compliance of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and its regulations, reporting hazards, deficiencies and contraventions of the Act in a timely manner. Qualifications Completion of an accredited dental assistant program Experience preparing work area for dentist and patient flow Experience performing simple dental procedures Experience confirming patient booking information; monitoring in-room inventory for operatories Additional Information Why join UHN?
