The Village of Arbour Trails located in Guelph, ON has an exciting opportunity for a Temp Part-Time Personal Care Aide, Medication Certified to join our team. • Status: Temporary Part-Time • Location: 32 Bayberry Dr, Guelph, ON N1G 0C9 STARTS: TBD HOURS : 31.5 hrs Biweekly, Shifts: 430 pm - 9pm Week 1: Mon/Tues/Fri/Sat/Sun Week 2: Thurs/Fri The hiring rate for this role is $22.96 per collective agreement/employee association agreement. As a new Medication Certified Personal Care Aide (Med Cert PCA) joining our Village, you will: Support and embrace our resident-centered social culture and be proud to deliver the highest quality of personal care to our residents. You will work as key members of our Village and neighbourhood multidisciplinary teams to understand residents’ individual needs, and advocate for residents to actively participate in decisions about their care. Medication Certified Personal Care Aides (Med Cert PCA) at Schlegel Villages foster exemplary relationships with residents, their families and the Village team to deliver holistic care to our residents and medication administration to medically stable residents that focusses on flexible living and quality of life. In addition to supporting residents with personal hygiene care, basic nursing care, companionship and activities, our Medication Certified Personal Care Aides (Med Cert PCA) administer medications, record temperature, pulse and respiration (TPR) and skin care treatments under the direction of our Registered Team. Our Medication Certified Personal Care Aides (Med Cert PCA) know our residents and are quickly able to identify and report any changes in the resident’s well-being to the Registered Practical Nurse or Charge Nurse. What you’ll do

The Personal Care Aide will provide high-quality personal care, companionship, and medication administration to residents while working within a multidisciplinary team. They are responsible for monitoring resident well-being, including recording vital signs and reporting any changes to the nursing staff.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a valid Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate of at least 600 hours and a completed medication administration certificate. Applicants should demonstrate a caring attitude and an understanding of the physical and emotional demands of the role.
