Job Duties (including but not limited to): Provide Companionship: Spend time with clients to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation. Engage in conversations, hobbies, or activities that foster emotional well-being Plan and Engage in Recreational Activities: Organize and participate in fun, stimulating activities that clients enjoy, such as reading, playing games, going for walks, or doing puzzles Provide Transportation: Offer assistance with transportation to appointments, errands, or social events, ensuring safety and comfort during travel Monitor Client’s Well-Being: Keep an eye on the client’s emotional and physical health and report any changes or concerns to family members or healthcare providers Prepare Meals: Plan and prepare nutritious meals that cater to the client’s dietary preferences or restrictions, ensuring meals are appealing and safe Light Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping duties such as tidying up, laundry, and maintaining a safe and clean environment Assist with Pet Care: Help clients care for their pets, such as feeding, walking, or grooming if applicable Document and Report Care: Keep track of activities and care provided, and document any notable changes or concerns for caregivers or family members Qualifications: Compassionate and Caring Nature: A genuine desire to help and care for others, especially seniors, and a strong sense of empathy Willingness to Learn: Openness to ongoing training and the ability to learn new skills to better serve the needs of clients Good Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with clients, their families, and other team members, both verbally and in writing Dependable and Punctual: Reliable, with a strong commitment to arriving on time and following through with scheduled tasks and responsibilities Patience and Understanding: The ability to stay calm and patient in different situations, providing emotional support when needed Requirements: Valid Class 5 Driver's License (preferred) or Valid Class 7 Driver's License in good standing Access to a vehicle (preferred) Negative TB test completed in the past 90 days A negative Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check issued in the past 90 days Certification in CPR and First Aid (preferred) Valid work permit and/or Social Insurance Number Benefits: $23.00/hour - $25.00/hour (+4% VAC pay and STAT pay as applicable) + Mileage Reimbursement Flexible Schedule Professional Development Paid Training and Development Opportunities for Advancement Schedule: Casual/Part-Time Day shift Evening shift Monday to Friday Night shift Weekends as needed Weekends only

Requirements
Candidates must have a valid driver's license, a negative TB test, and a clear Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check. A compassionate nature and CPR/First Aid certification are highly preferred.
