Job details
Role Overview We’re looking for an experienced Mid-Senior Specialist Web Designer to partner with N4 Studio on a freelance / contract basis, supporting web design projects as they come through the studio. This is a project-based role, with hours varying depending on available client work and project requirements. You’ll work closely with our design and development teams to create high-quality, visually led websites and digital experiences for a range of ambitious brands. We’re looking for someone who combines strong creative thinking and art direction with a solid understanding of UX/UI, responsive design and how websites are ultimately built in Webflow. You’ll be comfortable taking projects from early concepts and wireframes through to polished, development-ready designs. About N4 Studio We're a global digital agency of around 60 people specialising in Webflow design, development, and growth. We're Webflow's number one agency partner globally, which shapes how we work and where we're headed. We partner with ambitious brands to craft digital experiences that drive growth. With a distributed team across multiple time zones, we move fast, think strategically, and bring A-team energy to everything we do. Who You Are 4+ years of web design experience, ideally within a digital agency or studio environment. A strong portfolio of high-quality website and digital design work, demonstrating strong visual craft, art direction and attention to detail. Proven experience designing websites for Webflow, with a clear understanding of the platform and how designs translate into development. Strong proficiency in Figma, with experience across Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop and Illustrator. Strong understanding of UX/UI, responsive design and modern web design principles. Experience collaborating closely with developers and other designers to bring digital experiences to life. Confident presenting your thinking, explaining design decisions and responding to client and internal feedback. Comfortable working independently across project-based work, changing deadlines and varying workloads. Strong communication and time management skills, particularly when working within a distributed team. Bonus: Experience with motion and interaction design, HTML/CSS or other low-code tools. What You'll Be Doing Design high-quality, visually led websites and digital experiences aligned with client brands, objectives and audiences. Take projects from early concepts and wireframes through to polished, development-ready designs in Figma. Apply strong art direction, UX/UI and responsive design thinking across desktop and mobile experiences. Collaborate closely with Webflow developers to ensure designs are practical to build and implemented to a high standard. Present concepts and design thinking to clients, clearly articulate your rationale and refine work based on feedback. Consider motion, interaction and user experience as part of the overall design rather than treating pages as static layouts. Maintain a consistently high level of design craft across the projects you support. Work across projects based on client demand, timelines and available project work. Global Team N4 is a global team working across multiple regions and time zones. For this contract work, we’re primarily looking for designers based in Pacific Time (PT), Eastern Time (ET), or New Zealand Time (NZT). Working hours and time zone alignment may vary depending on the project and team you’re working with. Please share your location, availability and capacity for upcoming contract work as part of the application process. We look forward to hearing from you!
