In addition to hair services, Kast Hair Studio is connected to a broader creative community that offers Henna or Mehndi body art, tattoos, supplies, and workshops in the Vancouver area. Role Description This part-time on-site Hairdresser role is based at Kast Hair Studio in Port Moody, BC. The Hairdresser will provide a full range of salon services, including hair cutting, styling, and care for a diverse clientele. Day-to-day responsibilities include consulting with guests to understand their needs, recommending suitable styles and treatments, and performing services with attention to detail and safety. The role also involves maintaining a clean and organized workstation, following salon hygiene standards, and assisting with scheduling and client communication when needed. The Hairdresser will contribute to a positive, professional atmosphere and support repeat business through excellent customer service. Qualifications Strong skills in Hair Cutting and Hair Styling, with the ability to work with various hair types and lengths. Knowledge of Hair Care techniques, products, and treatments to maintain and improve hair health. Foundational training or certification in Cosmetology, or equivalent practical salon experience. Demonstrated Customer Service skills, including clear communication, active listening, and a client-focused approach. Ability to work part time on-site in Port Moody, BC, including evenings or weekends as needed. Attention to detail, time management, and the ability to manage multiple appointments efficiently. Experience in a salon environment and familiarity with booking systems and point-of-sale processes is an asset. Commitment to professional appearance, ongoing skills development, and adherence to health and safety standards.
