We are seeking a part-time Funeral Services Instructor to join our academic team and help prepare students for meaningful careers in the funeral services profession. The Role This is an exciting opportunity to join Keyin College as a part-time instructor within our Funeral Services program, bringing professional knowledge and industry experience into the classroom. The successful candidate will join our team ahead of the next instructional block beginning November 2, 2026, allowing time to become familiar with the program, curriculum, course materials, and learning systems before beginning instructional delivery. Your primary focus will be delivering engaging, practical instruction and supporting student success. You will also contribute to the ongoing review and updating of course materials and learning resources as needed to help ensure program content remains current and aligned with industry practices. What You'll Do Deliver engaging, practical instruction within the Funeral Services program Bring current industry knowledge, professional experience, and real-world examples into the classroom Prepare for and facilitate classes using established curriculum and course materials Support students in developing the technical knowledge, professional skills, judgment, and interpersonal skills required within the funeral services profession Provide coaching, mentorship, academic guidance, and timely feedback to students Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback to support learning and development Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, assessments, and course outcomes Review and update course materials, assessments, and learning resources as needed Help ensure course content reflects current professional practices, legislation, standards, and industry expectations Collaborate with academic leadership and faculty to support program quality and positive student outcomes What You Bring Relevant post-secondary education in Funeral Services, Funeral Directing, Embalming, or a related field A combination of relevant education and professional experience equivalent to a minimum of six (6) years Strong knowledge of funeral service practices, professional standards, legislation, ethics, and industry expectations Ability to translate professional and technical knowledge into practical, engaging learning experiences Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage, mentor, and support adult learners Professionalism, empathy, sound judgment, and the ability to approach sensitive subject matter with care and respect Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Comfort using technology for instruction, including Microsoft Office and learning management systems Prior teaching, training, facilitation, or instructional experience is considered an asset Experience contributing to course or curriculum development is considered an asset What We Offer Competitive Compensation – Aligned with experience and industry standards. Requirements

Applicants need relevant post-secondary education in funeral services or a related field, or equivalent education and professional experience totaling at least six years. They should have strong knowledge of funeral service practices, standards, legislation, and ethics, along with the ability to teach and support adult learners; prior instructional and curriculum development experience are assets.
