Job summary
ROLE The Supervisor is responsible for the quality and delivery of the Making Waves program and for ensuring team alignment with Company Core Values. This role requires strong leadership, active listening, collaboration, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Supervisors lead by training, supporting, mentoring, and motivating both Aquatic and Administrative staff while fostering a positive and high-performing team environment. RESPONSIBILITIES The specific duties and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following: PEOPLE LEADERSHIP & TEAM DEVELOPMENT · Support employees through day-to-day coaching, guidance, and issue resolution · Provide supervision and leadership to shift teams · Foster a positive workplace culture through morale and staff engagement initiatives · Lead ongoing staff training, mentorship, and development · Lead by example while supporting Head Coaches, Customer Service Representatives, and Swim Instructors in-water and on-deck to ensure quality program delivery and operational standards QUALITY ASSURANCE: · Ensuring quality and adherence to company Guidelines in all programs · Adhering to policies, procedures, and governing regulations RUBLIC RELATIONS: · Communicating with clients and prospective employees · Liaising and maintaining relationships with external course conductors · Maintains and ensures a safe, clean and organized facility space · Sales Merchandise, Program and Office Inventory · Implement company KPIs and key metrics as assigned · Performing any position within the facility · Manager on Duty as Required · Operational Support as Required · Additional Administrative Items as Required QUALIFICATIONS: · LSS National Lifeguard (Required) · LSS Lifesaving Instructor (Required) · Standard First Aid with CPR-C (Required) · MWSS Coach Course Certification (can be obtained upon hiring) · 1+ years experience of leading staff · Vulnerable Sector Check REPORTS TO: Manager LOCATION: Making Waves Vaughan - 10557 Keele St Unit 2, Maple, ON L6A 3Y9 SCHEDULE: · Daytime, evening, and weekend shifts available · Minimum availability of 2 days per week required · Flexible scheduling opportunities available Our team is strongest when it reflects the communities we serve. Requirements
Candidates must hold LSS National Lifeguard, LSS Lifesaving Instructor, and Standard First Aid with CPR-C certifications. At least one year of staff leadership experience and a Vulnerable Sector Check are also required.
