Our story started in the summer of 1994, when our founder taught 50 kids to swim in his parents’ backyard pool. Not exactly a corporate headquarters, but it worked. It gave us the freedom to focus on what still matters most today: real progress in the pool, strong relationships with families, and giving back to our community. Today, Making Waves has grown, but our focus is the same: helping swimmers build real skills, real confidence, and real progress in the water. Instruct swimmers using the Small Steps approach while maintaining a safe, high-energy, and positive learning environment. Communicate effectively with families and collaborate with the team to ensure smooth daily operations.

Candidates must possess Standard First Aid & CPR-C certification and either a National Lifeguard or Bronze Cross qualification. A genuine desire to work with children and the ability to work multiple daytime shifts per week are required.
