Job Description Unload freight from trailers and load outbound trailers using electronic devices. Mark materials with identifying information Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed Count and, on occasion, is required to weigh items to ensure conformance to the shipper's bill of lading Starts heaters, placard trailers as required Arranges freight in specified sequence for maximum usage of trailer space Must take an active role in safety and maintenance of the warehouse by sweeping the floor, properly storing dunnage, etc. Tuesday to Saturday work week Hours are 1 AM to 8 AM with flexibility to meet customers' requirements. Other duties may be assigned Qualifications Forklift Certificate and Forklift experience needed WHIMS/Dangerous Goods Certificate (These items are covered within in-house training programs) Developed problem-solving, critical thinking, decision-making, and judgment skills Able to lift 50 lbs, sometimes repetitive Ability to multitask and manage various tasks successfully Ability to operate our internal computer systems Knowledge of AS400 system an asset Additional Information What do we offer to you? What you’ll do
Responsible for unloading and loading freight from trailers using electronic devices and ensuring materials are correctly marked and recorded. Maintains warehouse safety and organization while arranging freight for maximum trailer space utilization.
Requirements
Requires a Forklift Certificate and experience, along with the ability to lift 50 lbs repetitively. Candidates should possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to operate internal computer systems.
