Hiring Unit: Ensembles and Conducting Area (Jean-Sébastien Vallée) Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Program Assistant will support the overall administration and coordination of the McGill Camerata. Key Responsibilities: Assisting with the planning and execution of the McGill Camerata, a community engagement project part of the Choral Academy. Coordinating logistics for program components, including rehearsals and performances, for the McGill Camerata. Supporting communication efforts such as managing social media accounts, designing posters, drafting publicity materials, and updating web content for the McGill Camerata. Supporting on-site logistics and providing hands-on assistance during choral events related to the McGill Camerata. Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities Strong organizational and project management skills, with ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in social media management and digital communication tools. Attention to detail in preparing, proofreading, and compiling program and event materials. Strong interpersonal skills for coordinating with guest artists, faculty, students, and community members. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also taking initiative independently. Flexibility and problem-solving skills to support on-site logistics and respond to event-day needs.
