Role Description The Part-Time Restaurant Team Member role at Mezze House is a on-site position based in Waterloo, ON, supporting daily front-of-house and back-of-house operations. Responsibilities include taking guest orders, handling payments, answering questions about menu items, and ensuring a clean and organized dining and service area. Team members assist with food preparation and cooking tasks according to established recipes and food safety standards, including portioning, assembling, and packaging orders for dine-in, take-out, and catering. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment, coordinating with coworkers, restocking supplies, and following health, safety, and hygiene procedures. Team members are expected to maintain a professional, courteous demeanor and contribute to a positive guest experience. Qualifications Ability to perform food preparation and basic cooking tasks while following food safety and hygiene standards. Strong customer service and communication skills to interact with guests and team members effectively. Experience or comfort working in a fast food or fast-paced restaurant setting. Reliability, attention to detail, and ability to follow established procedures and recipes. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends. Previous restaurant, café, or hospitality experience is an asset but not required. Commitment to respectful, inclusive teamwork and adherence to workplace policies and safety guidelines.
