Job summary
Mint Health & Drugs is looking for a Health Care Aide (HCA) to add to our team in our Port Alberni Pharmacy team. The Health Care Aide will assist the Pharmacy by doing daily deliveries of prescriptions and providing medication assistance, emotional support, and compassion. Key Responsibilities Delivery of medication : Taking daily medication to the homes of our patients Clinical Support: Prompt and observe of insulin dosing Medication Assistance: Assisting with self-administered medication or providing reminders. Environmental Maintenance: Maintaining clean, safe, and tidy patient rooms. Reporting: Reporting changes in patient condition, and behavior Documentation : Documenting visit details using apps on the company phone Required Qualifications & Skills Education: A recognized Health Care Aide Certificate, or enrollment in a nursing program with practical experience. Certification: Registration with relevant provincial bodies (e.g., CLHA in Alberta). Must be able to submit a letter of good standing Flexible schedule : 6 am -1pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and flexibility to work weekends Soft Skills: Strong communication, patience, empathy, and the ability to work in a team. Drivers License : Must have valid driver's license and clean drivers abstract Criminal Record Check : less than 3 years old Common Work Settings Home care environments Compensation : $ 27.00 - $28.00 per hour
