We are expanding! MK Design Group looking for a Landscape Architect of Landscape Designer with eligibility for registration with the BCSLA. About Us: MK Design Group is a landscape architecture studio with offices in the Okanagan and the Lower Mainland, serving a diverse range of residential and community projects. The studio focuses on unifying distinctive design concepts with practical, buildable solutions that respond to household, community, and environmental needs. The team brings broad experience from both public and private sectors, including national design work, enabling collaborative partnerships with owners, developers, and contractors. Role Description: This is a part-time remote contract role for a Landscape Designer at MK Design Group. The Landscape Designer will develop conceptual and detailed landscape plans for residential and community-oriented projects. This position will also require the project management and contract administration of landscape construction projects within the lower mainland. Daily responsibilities include: The role also involves researching materials and plant selections, ensuring designs align with local climate and environmental considerations, and supporting project documentation and coordination from early design through construction Preparing landscape drawing concepts and detailed designs for a range of projects inclusive of residential, commercial, resorts and industrial planning. Contract administration works on projects under construction such as shop drawing review, site instructions and site inspections. Collaboration via digital tools, clear communication, and organized file management are core aspects of the position. Qualifications: Strong skills in Landscape Design and Landscape Architecture, with experience translating concepts into clear, buildable plans. Hands-on understanding of Landscaping practices and site implementation to ensure constructible and practical designs. Proficiency with design and drafting software (AutoCAD) and Microsoft office suite programs. Familiarity with Adobe suite products (i.e. Acrobat, Photoshop, InDesign etc.) is an asset. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate remotely with multidisciplinary teams and clients. A Bachelors of Master degree in Landscape Architecture, and eligibility/in good standing with the BCSLA 2-5 years relevant professional experience in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design, or a related field Eligibility to work in Canada Must be located in the lower mainland with a valid driver's license, clean driving abstract and own transportation
