Company Description Move Coordinators Inc. is a senior-focused moving company based in Canada, created after decades of experience in the self-storage industry and a deep understanding of how stressful moving can be. As a member of the National Association of Senior Move Managers, the company offers tailored relocation services designed to support older adults and their families through every stage of a move. Services begin with a complimentary in-home visit, a detailed needs assessment, and a clear estimate outlining requested support, including downsizing strategies. The team emphasizes integrity, kindness, and strong communication to make transitions as smooth as possible. Their vision is to help clients move from feeling overwhelmed to feeling settled and ready to enjoy the next chapter of life. Role Description The Senior Move Manager Assistant is a part-time, on-site role located in the Greater Edmonton Metropolitan Area, supporting the planning and execution of senior relocation projects. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with in-home assessments, helping clients sort, organize, and downsize belongings, and preparing items for packing, donation, or disposal. The role supports move-day coordination, including overseeing movers, staging the new home, and ensuring clients’ personal spaces are set up comfortably and safely. The assistant maintains clear communication with clients, families, and team members, documents services provided, and helps ensure that each move follows established timelines and standards. This position requires compassionate, hands-on support in clients’ homes and at new residences. Qualifications Ability to provide empathetic, client-centered support to older adults and their families, with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Organizational and time-management abilities, including experience with decluttering, downsizing, and managing multiple tasks and priorities. Comfort with physical aspects of the role such as light lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in varied home environments. Reliability in on-site work within the Greater Edmonton Metropolitan Area, including access to transportation and flexibility to attend client appointments. Attention to detail in documenting services, following established processes, and maintaining confidentiality and respect for clients’ homes and belongings. Prior experience in senior services, social work, professional organizing, moving coordination, or related fields is an asset but not required. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a small team, demonstrating integrity, patience, and professionalism.
