Job summary
Position Overview and Requirements The Township is currently seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals for the positions of Registered Early Childhood Educators in our Before and After School Program at the St-Jean/La Croisée, Saint- Joseph, and St. Mother Teresa Daycares. The Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) reports to the Daycare Supervisor and will be responsible for delivering an educational program including activities that are geared toward children's development, their health, their security and their well-being. This position ensures professional and efficient management of the programming and activities of the service. * College diploma in Early Childhood Education or in the process of obtaining an equivalent qualification through an apprenticeship program; * Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators of Ontario; * Valid and Negative Criminal Record Check - Vulnerable Sector (within six months); * Valid First Aid and CPR Level C certification; * Must be 18 years or older. Language Requirements * Excellent proficiency in spoken and written French (Saint-Joseph and St-Jean/La Croisée); * Excellent proficiency in spoken and written English (St. Mother Teresa); * Bilingualism is an asset. Compensation The salary is between $27.12/hour and $30.52/hour and includes pension plan, as well as free access to the Sports Dome Training Centre. Requirements
Candidates must hold a college diploma in Early Childhood Education and be a member of the College of Early Childhood Educators of Ontario. Additional requirements include a valid criminal record check, First Aid and CPR certification, and proficiency in English or French.
