Home Employment Group Fitness Instructor(s) – Casual Part-time Location: East Hants, various locations, NS We are accepting applications for casual Group Fitness/Exercise Instructors to join our team. In collaboration with the Community Recreation Coordinator, the Fitness Instructor plans and facilitates calisthenics or bodyweight group fitness programming such as yoga, and other community recreational fitness programs in various locations throughout the Municipality. Our programs are rooted in the philosophy of providing high quality, accessible, inclusive and affordable programming to the community. Fitness Program Instructors are reliable, enthusiastic, self-starters who are responsible to plan and implement programming in a safe and inclusive environment. The Fitness Program Instructor reports to and liaises with the Community Recreation Coordinator for any equipment and supplies required and is responsible to ensure the program space is suitable, tidy and barrier free for participants. Qualifications Certification to lead specialized group programming required (Can Fit Pro, etc.). Experience planning and leading specialized programming for children, youth and/or adults in a recreational setting preferred Current Emergency First Aid/CPR, or willingness to obtain required Clean and current child abuse registry and criminal record checks required Programs may be offered in the East Hants Aquatic Centre, East Hants Sportsplex or in schools and community halls in various locations across East Hants, including the rural areas. Requirements
